Threadscapes

The ongoing rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creativity has triggered a redefinition of the role of the graphic designer by renegotiating its position and decisive power within design projects. Threadscapes is an interactive design tool utilising AI technology for speculative textile production. In this scenario, the designer creates a system, enabling the audience to actively co-create bespoke textile patterns in real time. It functions as a drawing platform employing specific parameters, including three colours that change automatically and a brush that can be used through hand movements.
